Meet coach Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn Cameron is a distinguished figure in British Columbia’s softball community, recognized for her significant contributions as both a player and a coach. Her journey in softball began with the Fraser Valley Fusion and Surrey Storm, where she achieved notable success, securing three provincial championships and earning three silver medals at the Canadian National Championships.

Cameron pursued her collegiate career at Simon Fraser University (SFU), serving as the team’s catcher and captain for three years. In 2013, she received an Honourable Mention for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference team. Following her graduation, she transitioned into coaching roles at SFU, including positions as Graduate Assistant Coach in 2016 and Assistant Coach in 2018.

Her coaching career extends beyond SFU. Cameron is the Head Coach of the Fraser Valley Fusion 2006A team, leading them to two National Championships in 2023 & 2024 and four Provincal championships.

Additionally, she serves as an Assistant Coach for Team BC and holds the position of Langley Rep Fastpitch Director.

Cameron’s dedication to the sport is further exemplified by her involvement in player development, offering hitting sessions and mentoring aspiring athletes. Her multifaceted roles underscore her commitment to fostering growth and excellence within the softball community.
